Statistical Analysis Consulting Center

History and Establishment of the Center:

The Statistical Analysis Consulting Center was established in 2022 pursuant to the provisions of the Law of Scientific and Consulting Service Offices in Higher Education and Scientific Research Institutions No. (7) of 1997, as amended, after the University obtained the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under reference No. (Q/321) dated 27 July 2022.

Objectives of the Center:

The Statistical Analysis Consulting Center is considered one of the fundamental units of the Administrative Technical College. It aims to harness the available scientific and academic capabilities of the College in support of scientific research activities.

The Center also seeks to meet the needs of undergraduate and postgraduate students by providing statistical analysis services for graduation projects, master’s theses, and doctoral dissertations.

One of the primary purposes behind the establishment of the Center is to strengthen communication with researchers through cooperation in addressing challenges that may hinder the progress of scientific research, by offering scientific and statistical consultation services.

The Center’s objectives also include:

  • Providing scientific, educational, and professional consultation services and expertise to government institutions, as well as public and private sector organizations, for appropriate fees.
  • Offering its services and expertise to citizens at reasonable and affordable rates.
  • Contributing to the enhancement of professional practice standards in Iraq.
  • Developing and expanding the practical and professional expertise of academic staff members and technical personnel.
  • Exchanging expertise and experiences with similar offices, centers, and relevant institutions.

Organizational Structure of the Center

1- Center Board of Directors

The office is supervised by a Board of Directors formed in accordance with Article (3) of the aforementioned law. The Board, in its current formation, includes the following members:

The Board shall hold at least one meeting per month. The minutes of its meetings, including its decisions and recommendations, shall be submitted to the Office of the President of the University for approval prior to implementation, in accordance with the provisions of Article (4) of the Law of Scientific and Consulting Service Offices in the Institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (7) of 1997 (amended).

The Board shall, in order to achieve its objectives, carry out the duties assigned to it under Article (5) of the aforementioned law.

General Performance Indicators of the Statistical Analysis Consulting Center

The Center’s Objectives:

The office seeks to achieve the objectives for which it was established, as follows:

  • Statistical analysis for graduation research projects.
  • Statistical analysis for Higher Diploma theses, Master’s theses, and PhD dissertations.
  • Statistical analysis for scientific research studies.
  • Organizing scientific training courses in statistical software, including SPSS, AMOS, R, and EViews.
  • Printing graduation projects, Higher Diploma theses, Master’s theses, and PhD dissertations.
  • Providing statistical consultancy services.

The Center’s Achievements:

Since its establishment, the center has successfully completed dozens of statistical analyses, including analyses for researchers and undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as providing various statistical consultancy services.


Center Personnel and Resources:

The center relies in carrying out its contracted tasks on its members and a group of qualified experts with relevant experience and specialization. These include academic staff from the Northern Technical University and other universities, engaged through formal contracts specifying the nature of the work, contract duration, remuneration, and other obligations and rights of both parties.

This is in accordance with the authority granted to the Center’s Council under Article (5/First/6 and 7) of the Law of Scientific and Consulting Service Offices in Institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (7) of 1997 (amended). Contracts are signed by the Director of the Office pursuant to the authority granted to him under Article (7/Second) of the aforementioned law
