Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, a panel discussion entitled “Sustainability as an Approach to Improving Iraqi Industry” was held as part of the Sustainable Development Programme activities of the University’s Quality Assurance Department, in cooperation with the College’s Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division. The session was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Raafat Assi Hussein Al-Obaidi, Dean of the College.
The discussion addressed the importance of adopting sustainability principles in developing Iraq’s industrial sector and their role in improving production efficiency and achieving sustainable development. It also highlighted the main challenges facing local industry and proposed practical solutions and recommendations for its advancement in accordance with modern standards.
The session concluded by emphasising the importance of strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and the industrial sector to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals
