Under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Administrative College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raafat Asi Hussein Al-Obaidi, the Department of Business Administration Technology organized a training course entitled “Social Marketing for Environmental Sustainability: Awareness and Change.” The course was held as part of the Sustainable Development Program activities of the Quality Assurance Department at the Presidency of Northern Technical University, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division of the College.
The training course aimed to highlight the importance of social marketing in promoting environmental awareness and fostering positive behavioral change among individuals and institutions toward environmental issues, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the preservation of natural resources.
The course was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Harbiya Abdo Omar, who discussed the concept of social marketing and its role in promoting environmental awareness. She also reviewed modern approaches used to influence community behavior and encourage initiatives that support environmental sustainability.
