A technical master’s thesis in Business Administration Technologies was discussed at the Administrative Technical College / Mosul, Northern Technical University, by the student Mustafa Waleed Ahmed. The thesis was entitled:
“The Role of Entrepreneurial Behavior in Enhancing Digital Transformation Strategy: An Exploratory Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Administrative Leaders at the University of Mosul.”
The discussion was held on Sunday morning, September 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in Al-Hikma Hall at the college.
The study aimed to identify the role of entrepreneurial behavior in enhancing the digital transformation strategy among administrative leaders at the University of Mosul. Entrepreneurial behavior was examined as the independent variable through the dimensions of innovation, proactiveness, and risk-taking, while digital transformation strategy was addressed as the dependent variable through the dimensions of organizational culture, business model, digital leadership, and value creation. The study also examined the nature of the correlation and effect relationships between the two main variables.
The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and used a questionnaire as the primary instrument for data collection. The study population consisted of 230 administrative leaders at the University of Mosul, while the researcher selected a sample of 180 respondents, including deans, assistant deans, and heads of departments. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS Version 26 and SmartPLS to obtain the results required to achieve the objectives of the study.
The study reached a number of findings, most notably that entrepreneurial behavior, through its various dimensions, contributes significantly to enhancing the adoption of a digital transformation strategy within the organization. The findings also indicated that strengthening proactiveness, innovation, and willingness to take risks among administrative leaders represents a key factor in supporting the successful implementation of digital transformation and achieving organizational objectives.
