A technical master’s thesis in Business Administration Technologies was discussed at the Administrative Technical College / Mosul, Northern Technical University, by the student Anwar Jaro Abdulrazzaq. The thesis was entitled:
“The Feasibility of Implementing Digital Twin Technology and Its Role in Improving Operational Performance: An Exploratory Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Employees at the General Company for Communications Equipment and Power / Al-Kindi Factory.”
The discussion was held on Tuesday morning, August 25, 2026.
The study aimed to examine the feasibility of implementing digital twin technology and its role in enhancing and improving operational performance at Al-Kindi Factory. It focused on improving current operational methods and utilizing modern digital technologies to address challenges in a competitive environment, enhance operational efficiency, and improve product quality.
The study addressed digital twin technology through its main dimensions: Internet of Things (IoT), three-dimensional modeling and simulation, cloud computing, and machine and deep learning. Operational performance was examined through the dimensions of delivery, flexibility, quality, and cost.
The researcher adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and used a checklist, questionnaire, and field interviews to collect data and information. The study included 20 responses to the checklist and 150 questionnaires completed by employees at Al-Kindi Factory. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26 and SmartPLS 3.
The findings revealed a significant positive correlation and impact between digital twin technology and operational performance, confirming the importance of employing modern digital technologies to enhance the efficiency of operational processes.
The study also presented several recommendations, most notably the need to adopt digital twin technology and integrate its various dimensions in a comprehensive manner to achieve higher levels of productive efficiency in both operational and administrative processes.
